From the last weekend of September, the CEHL will start with 9 clubs -The Hague, Geleen and Heerenveen -Diez and Neuwied -Herentals, Leuven, Liège and Mechelen CEHL Competition structure consists of 2 parts: CEHL cup competition with semi-finals and a cup match in January 2025 CEHL championship from December with quarter-finals, semi-finals and a final series in March. Depending on the time needed for make-up games to be scheduled, the final series will be played in a Best of 3,5 or 7 Dutch Cup The matches of the Dutch Cup are played under the direction of IJshockey Nederland. These are not listed on the CEHL site. Belgian Cup The matches in the CEHL Cup between the Belgian clubs are kept in a separate Belgian Cup table to determine the ranking for the BVB. The semi-finals will be played at the beginning of December and the final on the 8th of February. The place where it will be played will be determined when the finalists are known. Referees Since the start of the competition, the participating countries have appointed the referees in their own country. In consultation, there have always been exchanges between the countries. For this season, IJshockey Nederland has announced that it will provide referees for the Dutch Cup matches and the friendly matches, but not for the CEHL. For Germany, the referees will be appointed by DEB, as in previous years. Later in the season, we will discuss whether more cooperation and exchange can be achieved here as well. We have found Patrick van de Wijgert willing to help us as RIC for the CEHL with the referees for CEHL competitions in the Netherlands and Belgium. Referees can indicate their availability via the CEHL website. The board of the CEHL and the RIC are of the opinion that it is important for the development of the referees that they referee as many matches as possible. Restricting the availability of referees is not in the interest of the sport. Therefore, as a CEHL board, we encourage referees that, in addition to the CEHL matches, referees also remain connected to the RBIHF / Ice Hockey Netherlands as a referee and can be used for matches. Supervision and development of referees has always been seen by CEHL as a federation duty for which the clubs contribute by paying contributions to both organizations. Afhankelijk van de tijd die nodig is voor inhaalwedstrijden die gepland moeten worden zullen de finale reeksen in een Best of 3,5 of 7 worden gespeeld Beker van Nederland De wedstrijden van de beker van Nederland worden gespeeld onder de regie van IJshockey Nederland. Deze zijn niet op de CEHL site opgenomen. Beker van België De wedstrijden in de CEHL Beker tussen de Belgische clubs worden in een aparte Beker van Belgie tabel bijgehouden om de ranking voor de BVB te bepalen. Begin december worden de halve finales gespeeld en de 8ste februari de finale. De plaats waar deze gespeeld wordt zal bepaald worden als de finalisten gekend zijn. Referees Sinds de start van de competitie hebben de deelnemende landen in hun eigen land de referees aangewezen. In overleg zijn er altijd uitwisselingen geweest tussen de landen. Voor dit seizoen heeft IJshockey Nederland laten weten wel referees te leveren voor de Beker van Nederland wedstrijden en de vriendschappelijke wedstrijden maar niet voor de CEHL. Voor Duitsland worden de referees net als vorige jaren aangewezen door DEB. Later in het seizoen zullen we afstemmen of ook hier meer samen samenwerking en uitwisseling is te realiseren. Wij hebben Patrick van de Wijgert bereid gevonden om ons als RIC voor de CEHL te gaan helpen met de referees voor CEHL wedstrijden in Nederland en België. Referees kunnen via de CEHL site hun beschikbaarheid aangeven. Het bestuur van de CEHL en de RIC zijn van mening dat het voor de ontwikkeling van de referees belangrijk is dat ze zo veel mogelijk wedstrijden fluiten. Het beperken van de inzetbaarheid van de referees is niet in het belang van de sport. Derhalve stimuleren wij als CEHL bestuur dat referees naast de CEHL wedstrijden ook als clubreferee aan hun thuis club en als federatie/bonds referee verbonden blijven aan de RBIHF / IJshockey Nederland en inzetbaar zijn voor wedstrijden. Supervisie en ontwikkeling van referees hebben wij als CEHL altijd gezien als een federatie/bonds aangelegenheid waar de clubs aan meebetalen door de afdrachten naar beide organisaties. Omdat er vragen zijn gekomen voor meer ondersteuning zullen wij binnen de CEHL werken aan een systeem om via supervisie de referees te helpen bij hun ontwikkeling. Lees meer

Streaming Afgelopen seizoen zijn we in samenwerking met Sportway begonnen met het opzetten van een streamingdienst, aanvankelijk via RBIHF.TV, vanwege het initiële contract tussen Sportway en de RBIHF. De clubs hun vriendschappelijke wedstrijden ter voorbereiding van het seizoen. De wedstrijden die zijn aangemeld zijn opgenomen in het schema op de site en zullen, daar waar Sportway camera’s hangen te zien zijn op de stream: CEHL.TV. Als de thuisclub e-sheet gebruikt worden de opstelling, goals en penalty’s verwerkt in de stream. De technische staf van zowel Sportway als de RBIHF hebben vorig jaar hard gewerkt aan de integratie met e-sheet en de verbetering van de service. Dit jaar is de site gesplitst in RBIHF.TV en CEHL.TV maar met een abonnement voor beide services. De streaming en de verkoop van abonnementen wordt door Sportway gemanaged en 30% van de opbrengst komt ten goede aan de deelnemende clubs Met Frankrijk (hier heeft men ook een aantal camera’s van Sportway geïnstalleerd) is afgesproken dat we ook de vriendschappelijke wedstrijden van CEHL teams delen en beschikbaar maken op CEHL.TV Lees meer

Streaming Last season, in collaboration with Sportway, we started setting up a streaming service, initially via RBIHF. TV, due to the initial contract between Sportway and the RBIHF. The clubs are currently playing their friendly matches in preparation for the season. The games (in arenas where Sportway cameras are installed) that have been registered are included in the schedule on the site and will be shown on the stream: CEHL.TV. If the home team uses e-sheet, the line-up, goals and penalties will be included in the stream. The technical staff of both Sportway and the RBIHF worked hard last year on the integration with e-sheet and the improvement of the service. This year, the site has been split into RBIHF. TV and CEHL. TV but with a subscription for both services. The streaming and sale of subscriptions is managed by Sportway and 30% of the proceeds go to the participating clubs. It has been agreed with France (where they have also installed a number of Sportway cameras) that the stream from Friendly games from the CEHL clubs in French Venues will be available on CEHL.TV. Since the 2015-2016 season, the top ice hockey clubs from the Netherlands and Belgium have been playing together in various leagues under the BeNe League organization. For two seasons, the IRC (Inter Regio Cup) was played together with Clubs from Germany. Season 2023-2024 two German clubs played as a full member in the BeNe League competition. Due to the participation of other countries, the name BeNe League no longer covers the load. From the 2024-2025 season, the league will continue as the Central European Hockey League (CEHL). This name gives more room for possible expansions or collaborations in the future. The re-branding will be implemented before the start of the season. Lees meer
